Philips has won a number of Emmy Awards over the years for various new technologies (DVD, Widescreen TV, etc.). Imagine my surprise, however, to find one of them in a nondescript nook in front of my colleague Simon's office in Amsterdam. Naturally, I presented it yesterday to Simon with much fanfare and Simon -- ever the publicist -- gave a very touching acceptance speech!
