People often ask me when I return from Japan, "What's the most impressive technology you saw?" The award this time goes to the toilets at the Hotel Granvia in Kyoto. The so-called "Toto Washlet" features a control panel that even the Starship Enterprise would envy. It "oscillates," "ventillates" and more. Admittedly, I didn't press any of these buttons. Let's just say I was afraid to find out what happens if the system crashes!
