WHODUNNIT ... AT 7TH AND MONTANA!

They say that crime doesn't pay ... but this morning it paid handsomely for the Anonymous Nogoodnik who stole $50 from Robb and Robin. The fun began when Robin, who had been out for a long walk, made the scene at Our Favorite Starbucks only to notice that her pre-paid Starbucks card had fallen out of her pocket somewhere in the neighborhood. She quickly retraced her steps, while Robb -- using his iPad -- looked up their account to make sure no one was using it. To his horror, he immediately saw that someone was already using the card like there was no tomorrow. He watched their balance dwindle from $50 to 0 in the blink of an eye. So, who was the culprit? Was it the Pied Piper, known for chain smoking a Sherlock Holmes pipe all day? No, he was busy, as usual, saluting at strangers in the parking lot. Was it Rigolatte? Unlikely, he only has eyes for the Sweet 'n Low. All I can say is, if there's any justice, I hope the culprit used the card to load-up on Apple Fritters ...!

Marty- I am need your expert advice. Would like to purchase a cell phone for the time. I like the I-phone4,should I wait till the possible arrival of #5 comes out. Also who is your carrier? The guy at AT &T store where I was gathering information, was saying that with Verzion thatyou could not multi-tasking & with At&T you can. I also think upon purching this phone I will need to go directly to the Apple store in S.M so they can help me with all the Apps as well. What is your opinion ? Is it better to buy the #4 or wait for #5 to come on the market in Oct. yet will be more expensive than the I-phone 4 Right?
Thanks for your expert advice.

Hi Anon,
I went with the iPhone 4 and it meets my needs. I use AT&T even though the reception isn't always the best because it offers GSM which works outside the U.S. I'm not certain when the new phones come out, but if it's October, it might be worth waiting just to see what the new phones offer and whether the prices on the iPhone 4 come down at that point. There are rumors of a less expensive iPhone 4 in the pipeline and if they turn out to be true, I think that might be worth looking into. iPhones can be pricier than people think because, even though carriers subsidize some of the cost, you're still charged tax on the full value.
Best,
Marty

Thanks Marty for your wonderful advice. I will do that & wait and see what the #5 features have and compare the #4 and see if the price goes down as you mentioned. Did you have to sign a contract with the phone company on the At&T carrier as well? Or can one sign up with out signing a 2-yr. contact?
Much thanks, your the best!

At least it was only a Starbucks card, could have been much worse.

Hi Anon -- I think you need to sign up for the contract (at least with AT&T). Otherwise, the phones won't be subsidized and would be a lot more expensive.
Best,
Marty
