BAD CHILD CARE ... AT 7TH AND MONTANA!

Hurry, Hurry, Hurry ... Step Right Up! Meet "Amber," the delightful tw0-year-old who toddled her way onto the scene at 7th and Montana this morning. Thrill at Amber's antics as she zips from table-to-table, unsupervised! Marvel at Amber's determination as she makes a bee-line for every dog in her path! Gape in amazement as she frolics dangerously close to oncoming traffic! Yes, indeed, her mother -- "Oblivia" (pictured below) -- must be one proud woman. Then, again, it's tough to tell. She was so engrossed in sending and receiving text messages on her cell phone this morning that she couldn't be bothered to watch her own daughter. Given her "addiction" to texting, perhaps she'll be among the first to receive an alert when her child goes missing ...

You sure it was not the au pair? The first time that little girl got too near the road, would of been the time I would have interrupted her texting and said something. Falls into the "What was she thinking??!!!" category.

Shameful. I am learning to dispise cell phones.

Please don't use the verbiage "amber alert" in order to bring recognition to your web blog. It is a registered name for missing children in extreme danger. Thank you.

To LostNMissing: Thanks for pointing out that my use of those words obviously had the unintended consequence of attracting attention from people who are trying to track missing children. I've immediately changed the language to avoid any further confusion.

Wow, Oblivia is the perfect name for the woman. I just hope the little girl comes to no harm.

AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I hate stupid mothers!! I made my son hold my hand every minute, on the street or at stores. I saw one today that was walking with her (maybe) 7 year old daughter, while her (maybe) 3 year old son was riding a tricycle about a football field's length behind her... like she could run that far/fast if someone pulled up to TAKE that child!!!
